We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head of UX and Research to join our team and lead our efforts in understanding our customers and enhancing their experiences with our products. 🚀

We have created a new structure under our Chief Product Officer with an ambition to become more product led and focus on delivering value for our customers. The role will report directly to the CPO. We are currently working with an external agency with our UX and experimentation efforts, and are looking for a leader to bring these capabilities in house.

The Head of UX and Research will be responsible for building, leading, and driving a comprehensive UX and research function. This role is crucial in helping us better understand our customers, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring our product roadmaps are driven by valuable insights and data. The successful candidate will be at the intersection of customer experience, data analysis, product development, and engineering, working collaboratively to create seamless and impactful user experiences.

Your daily tasks will be
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing UX and research team;
  • Develop and implement a team structure that supports the companys goals and growth;
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture;
  • Develop and execute an overall UX strategy that aligns with the companys vision and objectives;
  • Implement the necessary systems and tools to enable effective UX and research operations;
  • Ensure the UX strategy is integrated with product and engineering processes;
  • Implement frameworks and systems that centralize user feedback and ensure the teams utilize it to build their roadmaps;
  • Conduct comprehensive user research to understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points;
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities;
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to drive user-centered design decisions;
  • Develop and enhance the companys experimentation capabilities;
  • Design, implement, and manage user testing and experiments to validate hypotheses and improve product features;
  • Utilize insights from experiments to inform and refine the product roadmap;
  • Act as a bridge between the customer, data, product, and engineering teams;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure user insights are integrated into product development;
  • Advocate for the user experience in strategic discussions and decision-making processes;
  • Monitor and measure the impact of UX initiatives on customer satisfaction and business metrics;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices;
  • Support a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

What we expect from you
  • Proven experience in a senior UX leadership, preferably with experience building and leading a team;
  • Strong background in user research methodologies and tools;
  • Experience with UX design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD);
  • Demonstrated ability to translate user insights into impactful product decisions;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills;
  • Experience working in agile environments is a plus;
  • Excellent team player and communicator to fulfil the needs of different audiences;
  • Critical thinker and curious: looking at the numbers, trends and data and coming to new conclusions based on findings;
  • Data driven, led by the appropriate use of data to get to insight and drive decision making;
  • Customer centric: driven by seeking to understand customers better, their behaviours and the link to business drivers;
  • Outcome focused: committed to principles of an outcome led operating model;
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
